Step Into Work with Confidence
SafetySmart sessions help people who are currently unemployed get job ready. Through fun and engaging sessions, learners build confidence, manage emotions, and get mentally prepared for the workplace. They also learn responsibility, a work-ready attitude, working with others, safety, and awareness in real work settings. The goal is to help learners feel confident and ready to step into employment.
Mental Preparation and Safety Awareness for Sustainable Employment
Getting a job is one thing… keeping it is another
SafetySmart is for people:
- Returning to work after long/short term unemployment
- Entering employment for the first time
- Who are ready to strengthen their work/life skills and confidence
- Those lacking confidence or motivation
Work Success Starts with Your Mindset
Most employability support focuses on CVs, interviews, and presentation, those things matter, but they’re rarely the reason people struggle at work.
What really determines whether someone enters employment successfully and sustains it is their mental readiness and awareness of their surroundings
This is where SafetySmart makes the difference.
Why Mental Preparation Matters
Many people don’t struggle because they lack ability, they struggle because they’re not mentally prepared, this is such a crucial element when you begin the journey of employment
“Mental preparation is the difference between getting a job and keeping it.”
What We Do Differently
We focus on getting people mentally and emotionally ready for work.
SafetySmart helps individuals develop:
- Mental awareness and preparation
- Confidence and belief in themselves
- Safety awareness and awareness of their surroundings
- Emotional awareness and the ability to manage feelings
- Personal responsibility and ownership
- A positive, ready-to-work attitude
- Resilience and the ability to adapt to change
- Understand that it’s a two-way journey for both the learner and the employee
This creates individuals who are not just job-ready, but mentally ready for work.
SafetySmart is not traditional employability training.
It supports individuals to recognise how mindset impacts behaviour at work, identify triggers that lead to stress or disengagement, and build emotional control in challenging situations. It also helps strengthen reliability, focus, and commitment, while developing long-term employability rather than short-term outcomes.
Our Belief
“When the mind is prepared, life skills flourish and sustainable employment becomes a possibility.”
Let’s Make It Work for You
We adapt our sessions to suit each learner, recognising that we all learn in our own way

"SafetySmart is delivered in a clever way, because it almost tricks the students into thinking that they are playing a game, when in fact they are learning some very important messages, which they won’t forget! I was amazed that we got to an hour and a half of SafetySmart, and the students hadn’t even noticed that the time had gone, and were actually disappointed that we had finished!"
Mick Westman

"SafetySmart has been a key element of our Health, Safety and Environmental training programme for some years now. It helps to keep the team focused on safety and safety legislation in a fun and engaging way.
The idea of using a similar system to safely introduce students to the world of work sounds like a fabulous idea and one that I wholeheartedly endorse."
