SafetySmart is delivered through a larger-than-life board game, turning learning into a fun, engaging, and accessible experience. The game allows learners to explore real-life workplace situations in a safe, supportive way, while naturally embedding essential Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) awareness.

This practical, interactive approach supports different learning styles and helps learners retain key safety concepts alongside mental and emotional readiness.

 

Life Skills and Mental Readiness for Work

SafetySmart helps learners develop essential life skills that are needed to succeed in the workplace, including communication, teamwork, self-awareness, and coping with pressure. SafetySmart is designed to help learners feel mentally ready to move forward, giving them the confidence to step into new environments and stay engaged over time.

 

Supporting Learners with SEN and Learning Difficulties

SafetySmart is designed to support learners with SEN and learning difficulties by focusing on the areas that often create the biggest barriers to employment, coping with change, understanding expectations, managing pressure, and staying safe in unfamiliar environments. Using clear structure, practical scenarios, and interactive learning, SafetySmart helps learners build confidence, resilience, and mental readiness at their own pace, preparing them to transition into employment with greater understanding and confidence.

SafetySmart is ideal for FE learners who are preparing to move into work or further training. SafetySmart focuses on mental readiness, safety awareness, and real workplace expectations, helping learners build resilience, confidence, and practical life skills. Using interactive learning and real-life scenarios, SafetySmart supports learners to develop the mindset and habits needed to succeed in a workplace environment.

 

Supporting Post-16 Learners

SafetySmart supports post-16 learners who are preparing for the transition from education into employment. SafetySmart focuses on the mindset, emotional readiness, and safety awareness needed to manage workplace pressure, routine, and change. Through engaging and practical sessions, learners build confidence, resilience, and an understanding of what employers expect, helping them step into employment with greater clarity and readiness.

Let’s make it work for you. SafetySmart sessions are facilitated by us and fit easily into your school or college day, with half-day or full-day options delivered at your setting. This means learners can take part in a familiar and supportive environment.
